Mona Liza Santos writes stories that help children see their worth, embrace their uniqueness, and carry kindness into the world. Born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in San Diego, Mona began her author journey during the 2020 pandemic, when the world slowed down enough for her creativity to take root. Inspired by her son and by children everywhere, she poured her heart into stories that spark a love of reading while gently teaching emotional intelligence, kindness, and self-acceptance.

 

Her storytelling is deeply shaped by her Filipino heritage, the wisdom of her grandparents, and her travels to more than seventy countries. Every culture, lesson, and experience finds its way into her books, creating meaningful connections for children and families around the globe.

 

Mona’s son, Michael Blade, has also become a published author with her guidance, and together they dream up characters, worlds, and life lessons to share, building a legacy of creativity and hope.

 

When she isn’t writing, Mona enjoys time with her son at the beach or in nature, peaceful walks through local parks, and losing herself in books. She also delights in design and creation—whether it’s shaping book layouts, crafting journals, or imagining new projects—and finds joy in every step of the process.

 

Above all, Mona’s mission is to help children grow up knowing they are valued and loved just as they are. She believes that stories have the power to nurture confidence, build empathy, and create lasting change in how children see themselves and the world around them.
