“Magic is believing in yourself. If you can make that happen, you can make anything happen...” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Mona Liza Santos (detailed bio)
Mona Liza Santos was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended college in San Diego, California, where she attained a bachelor’s degree in business management. She lives in sunny California and has a nine-year-old son who is also her full-time job.

In the past few years, Mona Liza has taken to writing. Having never written a book before, she began during the 2020-Covid pandemic, and it was during this time of uncertainty that she found strength, solace, and purpose in bringing words and worlds to life. She started with rhyming and travel stories for kids before moving on to write motivational and inspirational pieces, which has already helped her with her own anxieties.

Mona Liza has also taken to writing scary ghost stories for younger readers, as her son loves them and they keep his attention for longer. Dedicated to her son, her first book, Mama, I Love You, was released in 2021, and she is already busy working on her next books.

In her free time, Mona Liza enjoys singing and dancing, spending time with her son, going to beaches, walking in parks, reading, and writing books. Her main area of interest is travel, and she has visited almost 70 countries so far. She plans to see more once the world returns to something resembling normality.

As far as the future goes, Mona’s main concern is ensuring that her son grows up to be a healthy and happy individual and that she can continue to write and publish books that will leave a lasting impression on those who read them.

She finds her inspiration wherever she happens to be and in the world around her, and it is her hope to inspire other young readers to dream of distant shores.
