National Intentional Kindness Day
is observed on August 24.
It is a reminder that kindness is not something we wait for. It is something we choose, in the small moments, in the everyday, in the way we show up for others.
✨What this day stands for:
Kindness is often seen as something small, but it has the power to shape how people feel, how they heal, and how they remember a moment. This day is about choosing kindness with intention, not just when it is easy, but especially when it matters most.
✨What it looks like:
-
Choosing kindness when it would be easier not to
-
Being patient when you feel rushed
-
Checking in on someone just to let them know they matter
-
Saying thank you and meaning it
-
Taking a moment to pause before reacting
✨Why it matters now:
In a time where words and actions can leave lasting effects, this day also serves as a reminder of how important it is to be mindful of how we treat others. Kindness can make a difference in ways we may never fully see, especially for those who may be struggling in silence.

National Intentional Kindness Day

Kindness grows even deeper when we take the time to understand one another.
You can also explore Heritage and Heart Day, where the focus is on identity, culture, and connection, helping children and communities appreciate where they come from while respecting others.
✨A message from Mona Liza Santos:
Kindness has always been at the heart of my stories. This day is simply a reminder that it doesn’t have to be something big. It can be found in the smallest choices we make every day.
Be intentional with kindness.
